Yes, you should by the iPod touch. I have one and its awesome!
They sell it in 8GB 32GB and 64GB. The 32GB is probably good to buy because it has a lot of space for music and Apps, but if you want a cheaper one get the 8GB model. As for Apps; Facebook and other Social Networking Apps.
