Julie :
I opened the package and used the ipod for an entire day before I realized there would be a new model available. If I return it, the macdepot will charge me 15%. Part of me wants to return it to get the extra 2GB of memory, but the other part doesn’t want to eat 15% and buy all new accessories for the new nano. What do you think?
The 2nd gen. nano is 149
The 3rd gen. nano is the same price…

I would. Lie and tell them it randomly freezes.
it depends on the cost of the new version and how much music u want to upload to it.
Get the new one…think about it. For $30, you can upgrade to an iPod with video and twice as much memory. Go for it!
hmmm….toughy! But me personally I would get the new one because it is possible they will eventually stop making the 2nd generation nano like they did the ipod mini. But the only difference is the 3rd gen can play vids and the 2nd cannot. If you just wanted one for the music then keep the one you just bought or get a refurbed nano from apple’s website with more GB for way cheap…just a thought.
in my opinion iPod nanos are worthless. take it back and upgrade to a normal iPod, otherwise you are paying a lot of money for barely any memory:
80g “Classic” iPod $250 = $3.13 per Gig
4g iPod nano $150 = $37.50 per Gig
to me buying a nano just doesn’t make sense
